An intimate look at the life of British screen icon Audrey Hepburn. Documentary filmmaker Helena Coan examines the remarkable life and career of the famed, beautiful and much-loved Hollywood screen legend, Oscar winner, fashion icon and humanitarian. The film tells Hepburn's life story, including her childhood experiences during World War II, early ballet career in London, journey to Hollywood stardom, and her humanitarian tenure as an ambassador of UNICEF before her death. It also recounts her marriages and relationships. Hepburn herself appears in archival footage and serves as the narrator of her own life story. Rare footage and interviews with Hepburn’s family, friends, actors, designers and those who knew her are mixed with scenes of three different ballerinas playing Hepburn at different points in her life. Very apt and symbolic dance-based portraits of a lovely and luminous star who floated across the big screen of art and life with consummate class, style and ease.
