How to install – Now H1

When installing Now H1, please notice:

1. Install the Now H1 (STB) in an area offering abundant ventilation.
2. Do not install in a humid or dusty area, and avoid installing near heating devices.
3. Keep flammable substances or sprays away from the STB.
4. Do not place objects on the STB.
5. Do not cover the top in any way.
6. Pull out the power plug during thunderstorms, or when not used for prolonged periods.
7. If the STB makes an unusual noise, smells, or emits smoke, pull out the power plug immediately and call our customer service number.

Do I need to connect to Wi-Fi to use Now H1?

For Now TV customers subscribing to a designated HKT’s Home Wi-Fi Service plan:
You can enjoy the full-features of Now H1 without Wi-Fi set-up.

For other Now TV customers:
You can use the Now TV service without Wi-Fi set-up.

However, to get the most out of your Now H1, such as TV app streaming, Google Assistant and Google Play app downloads, and Chromecast, etc, we recommend you connect it to a Wi-Fi network.

How can I set up the Wi-Fi for Now H1?

Please follow the steps below:

Go to “Home” > “Settings” > “Android TV Box Settings” > “Network & Internet”
Select a Wi-Fi network and key in your password

Do I need a Google account to use Now H1?

To enjoy the full-features and personalised experience, whether you are downloading apps from the Google Play Store, searching for and getting recommendations from Now TV, or controlling your smart home devices* via Google Assistant, please log into your Google account.

However, even if you don’t, you will still be able to enjoy the Now TV service and certain functions such as voice search, Chromecast, and YouTube. You may also control your Now H1 box with Google Assistant for general Google search, launching the Home Screen, channels switching or video playback.
